Who Are These People?
I’m a sinner saved by grace. I am utterly inadequate to accomplish anything of worth myself. I am also awesome. I take life too seriously, and yet I don’t take it seriously enough. I partake of 5-10 webcomics (I long ago lost track), yet I am not a nerd. I’m the farthest thing from a hippie that you’ll ever find, but I still don’t wear shoes. I am a diehard pessimist, yet I am almost always happy or at least content. In short, I’m God’s joke on creation. That’s me.
Also, I know the seven words that will make a woman love you. I speak fluent Sindarin. I have the abilities of the Mule. I know who John Galt is. And I believe in the Keeper. If you don’t understand any part of all that I just said, let me know. Chances are you’re missing out on some of the goodness in life.
I am a sinner saved by grace, an incurable optimist, an enthusiastic nerd, and a hopeful romantic. My favorite places in the world are bus stops, train stations, and airports – if you are in one and you see a big guy looking with amazement at everything as if trying to capture it all for later playback, that’s probably me. I’m completely taken with the concept of story, and it colors everything in my world. I want to live the finest story that I can and add joy and light to every other story I encounter along the way, and I hope my writing reflects that.
Adam is a busy student, and as such he hasn’t gotten around to writing his “About Me” blurb yet. Until he does, you’ll have to make do with this stand-in post written by a mysterious and incredibly good-looking stand-in writer. Adam Swensen is a ninja with serious culinary skills and a penchant for brightly colored clothes. His hair has recently been classified as a sentient being, but has chosen to stay on his head because, in its words, “I like it here”. Adam lives in Washington where, despite popular belief, he claims it doesn’t rain that much.
My name is Kristin. That simple word is how I’ve introduced myself since I learned to speak, although it expresses very little to most people, myself included, unless you stop and dig into it. Depending on which origin you choose, that name either means I’m “a follower of Christ” or I’m “consecrated to God.” Now that’s a much better way to introduce myself.
Beyond that, I guess you want to know how I feel about mustard (I dislike it) and why my Mom calls me Lucy Boop (I really don’t know, her mom called her that & it’s just a weird family thing). I care a lot about the world, and I’m really skilled at falling in love with people. The Lord has forgiven me for so much, there’s no amount of shame or sinfulness I can’t relate to, so chances are I’ll fall in love with you.
When I was a lad, I ate four dozen eggs every morning to help me get large, but now that I’m grown I eat five dozen eggs, so I’m roughly the size of a barge… Oh, wait, that was someone else… My name is Andrew, not Gaston. I love stories of all kinds, most importantly, the story of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am a devoted follower of Christ and I endeavor to do everything for his glory. I spend most of my free time watching, reading, playing and writing stories, although I probably do the first three a little more than I should and the fourth one a bit less. I’m working on that. At the end of my life, if people look back and say, “He loved God.” that will be enough for me. If they say, “He loved God and made good stories.” that would be cool too.
